The match between Chelsea and Fulham ended in a dull draw. It seems that the interim manager Rafa Benitez didn’t manage to motivate his team enough to win this match. The Blues were simply booed off following a goalless draw with their western rivals Fulham. This also means that I’ve lost the bet I made on Chelsea’s victory.
This was the second 0-0 scorein two matches under the Spaniard, who replaced the legendary Roberto Di Matteo, leaving Chealsea with just two victories in their last 10 confrontations, winless in six of the Premier League matches and yet to score under their new manager.
Here you have a video with the summary of the match:
At the end of the match, the home fans sang “we want our Chelsea back”, so it is pretty clear that Chelsea are not playing their best football right now.
The former manager of Liverpool made two changes to the side that resulted in a 0-0 score in his first game against Manchester City that took place on Sunday. On the other hand, Fulham made three changes, with Mahamadou Diarra, Hugo Rodallega and Damien Duff brought into the starting line-up.
All in all, it seems that Benitez has a lot of work to do if he is to win the heart’s of Chelsea fans and convince them that the owner of the club, Roman Abramovich, made the right decision.
Result: +4.4 units, bet won

Benitez is aiming really high this time…he set his target on the Europa League, but I think there is a long way until there: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20618619
