Atletico Madrid had a great start, defending their Europa League title and imposing in front of Hapoel Tel Aviv with the score of 3-0 on Bloomfield Stadium.

Having just provided Rodriguez with an assist for the opening goal of the match, Costa then got himself on the score sheet three minutes later.
Any hope the home side had of getting back into the match was ended on 62 minutes when Raul Garcia timed his run perfectly to lose his marker scoring the third goal for visitors.
Right now Atletico Madrid are on the 1st place of Group B, followed by Viktoria Plzen, who defeated Academica 3-1 in the other match in the group.
