Last Sunday, Juventus needed two late goals to defeat Torino with 2-0 and get inched closer to their 29th title. With their victory, I won the bet I placed on Juventus at William Hill.
Shortly after Torino had been denied what appeared to be a clear penalty, Arturo Vidal scored three minutes from time to bring Juventus the victory. After the match, Vidal confessed his feelings about his performance: “It’s the most important goal I’ve scored since I’ve been here. Now we’re really so close to winning the title.” Another key moment of the game was before Claudio Marchisio sealed the result, when Torino defender Kamil Glik was then sent off in the last minute of the game.
What should be clear that Juventus’s victory was not an easy one. Torino, were unable to score a goal in the past seven derby matches, not only frustrated Juventus for most of the match, but were also on the point of taking the lead later on.
After this vital victory, Antonio Conte’s team has an advantage of 11 points over second-place Napoli, and are aiming straight to the win of their next match against Palermo. “It was a difficult game, Torino plays very well. What’s important though is that at the end we won. We only need a point, now we have to think about the match against Palermo.” were the words of Conte.
Result: +6.7 units, bet won
