Are you tired of the same old sports and looking for something out of the ordinary? Looking for interesting experiences and stories to tell? Look no further! We have prepared a list of 5 very strange and unusual sporting events that will challenge your perception of a traditional sport!

ZORBING SOCCER

Bubble soccer can be a lot of fun, not only for the players, but also for the spectators. The players are encased in inflatable bubbles that cover their upper body and head. The game was invented in Norway in 2011. A match is played by 2 teams, each with a maximum of 5 players. According to the rules, each team must have at least one girl as a participant on the field during the game.

WING WALKING

Wing Walking is basically moving on the wings of an airplane during flight. Variations include planting banana trees, hanging on by your teeth, moving to another plane (or car, boat, train), and jumps where you open your parachute at the last possible moment.

The game turns to suicide whenever someone disregards the first law of wing walking: “Never let go of what you are holding until you are holding something else.

POLISH DRAGON BOAT RACING

This Polish sport, which went viral on the internet in 2015, does not have an exact translation into Portuguese, but it basically works like a tug-of-war – only in the water, in a dragon boat. The goal is that the participants (there can be 6 or 8) row to push the opposite side and team of the boat until they cross a line. What an arm for this “paddle tug-of-war”!

SHEEP COUNTING

Sheep counting competitions have become very popular in Australia in recent years. Unlike the mental exercise of counting sheep to sleep, this sport requires a great deal of attention. Approximately 400 sheep are let out of a pen and passed through 10 competitors who try to count them as accurately as possible. The person who tells the exact number of sheep is the winner of the competition.

MAS-WRESTLING

Mas-Wrestling originated in Russia and has simple rules, but requires a lot of muscle strength (especially in the arms and shoulders!). Two athletes sit facing each other, separated by a board where they place their feet. Both hold a wooden stick, and the objective is to “pull” the opponent to their side.
