How it started
The UEFA Nations League consists of 55 participating teams that began their journey on September 3, 2020. To begin, the group stage of the competition took place from September 3 to November 17, 2020.

The top four in the group in League A qualify for the play-offs; while the last four teams are relegated by division for the next edition. The top four of the group in League B move up in division; while the last four teams will be relegated by division. The top four of the League C group move up; while the last four will meet in two play-offs for relegation.

How it’s going
The group winners of League A were: Belgium, France, Italy and Spain. The crosses occurred on October 6 and 7 between Italy vs Spain and Belgium vs France respectively, where Spain and France were victorious.
On October 10, the match for third place will be played in Turin, followed by the grand final in Milan. However, the competition will end with relegation playoffs from League C to League D in March 2022.
It is worth noting that the competition also serves as part of the qualification process for the 2022 Soccer World Cup, since the two best winners of each League who have not qualified for the final phase or for the playoffs will be eligible for two places in the playoffs.
